Default My LINXSYS router is crap, what now?

It's the WRK54G, and it loses all it's settings, necessitating a full reset, about twice a week.

I'm thinking of getting rid.

What is available that is reliable?

TIA, Alcazar

Some of the new Netgear stuff with RangeMax is very good - I've found the wireless signal is much better in my (town) house going through 2 floors. Have a look at the WPN824.

I've just got myself a Netgear 834G.
It has been given a few awards for various magazines.

I got a nice bundle from PC world with netgear 802.11n and it's great. I did leave the linksys on for the laptop, ipaq and psp though as the n will drop to the lowest available standard with multi connections.

Using a Belkin Wireless G+, which until this month was PCPro's A Listed wireless router. Has been absolutely flawless.

Presumably it hasn't always done this, have you had it a while?

I have a load of linksys kit including one of those and it's fine.

By all means replace it, but first I'd say if it has never worked and you've not had it long, then return it for a replacement/refund

If it's recently broken, try a firmware update/refresh as this might sort it?
