Any good ?
Medion 6486 Performance PC Base Unit - Tesco.Direct
I thought it looks pretty good for the money, can always upgrade the video card at a later date, everything else looks well up to spec, couldnt build it for that price.

It's not a bad buy by any means though.

I think its work the extra not to have to build one, have built all the previous desktops and they have always worked but its nice just to unpack one, stick it on the desk, plug it in and go rather than fannying about putting SATA drivers on a floppy, skinning my fingers on the case innards, worrying about temps, getting windows installed.
Kids are happy as it plays the games that wouldnt work on the old one.
It is astounding how much performance you get for the money nowadays, I checked the benchmarks and the E6750 in this is pretty much one of the fastest dual core cpu's you can get short of extreme editions, dont know what I could upgrade to really that would offer any significant increase in performance, will upgrade the gfx at a later data, at the moment the GT 8500 is way better than the 4400 in the old one.
Its even a named mobo (MSI) rather than our previous Medion (second hand 2.8 P4 room heater) which was a no name pos, despite being 2.8 ghz it never felt as quick as my old 1.7 Athlon with an Epox mobo.
