free ecommerce program webbased?
is there a such thing as a free ecommerce software, that can be changed and added on the net,
the only thing closest i can find is Free Online Marketplace & Free Ecommerce Website Builder - get a Free Online Store at eCRATER.com
which is brill. BUT its only available in $
looking for one that doesn't need to download the software, (don't wanna upload all the time)
free webhosting (to test the water)

Not entirely sure what you are after but this is a load of scripts that you upload to your webspace...
Not the most straightfoward if you are not technical but there are plenty of people out there that setup and tailor oscommerce.
Many ISPs (domain sellers) are now offering cheap stores, 123reg.co.uk and easily.co.uk are two I can think of.

In my opinion it's the best ecomm software in the world and it should be as it's open source and is being constantly improved. Configuration can be a bit fiddly but it's very robust and used by tens of thousands of sites around the world....
