Emails from old computer to new one!????
I have loads of emails stored in Outlook express on my Desktop PC. I want to transfer these emails to my new laptop. (my email address is the same, I've input the POP setings into my new laptop)
My service provider is BT. Is there anyway i can xfer the emails back to the BT Yahoo server and re download them to the new computer.
Thanks

Windows Easy Transfer for XP and the other half is built into Vista. I just used it today to xfer my mail. Easy as pie, xfered accounts, mail rules, the lot.

You can just locate the folder, copy it accross and point OE to the folder.
However, I always
1. Install Mozilla Thunderbird (better than OE and will transfer all OE settings, mail etc)
2. Install and run Mozbackup. Copy backup file to new PC
3. INstall Thunderbird and MozBackup on new PC
4. Restore from backup.
You now have a much better free e-mail client, a good backup system, and an easier way to move the data between computers.
And my backups can be 500mb!
