Question specific Print server question...

Hello all,

Looking at one of the Netgear WGPS606 print servers....

It looks like it will do what I want (in terms of printing to two printers if required), however, I also want the item to act as a switch - ie having one of the four ports recieving my CAT5 connection (internet), then plugging in 2 computers to the other ports (so in essence the network connection is split)....

Any thoughts on whether or not this will do it - otherwise I've got to buy a seperate switch and print server.... or are there any other recommendations...

CHeers,

Dan

It appears to be a combined 4 port switch and 2 port usb print server, so yes, it'll do the job.

What box are you using for t'internet ?

Thanks for the reply.

An Origo ASR8400 (4port modem/router) - to cut a long story short, I need to expand my network (but not at a great expense!), so this little do-whackey should do the job.....

The 1 port that is being "shared" with the Netgear, isn't a high-use/volume port, so I can afford for its efficiency to be compromised
