Hi we need to purchase some voice recognition software.

My wife is running a project where she will need to interview people and would like transcripts of the interviews via dictaphone. It would be good if the sotware could work with the dictaphone and with other peoples voices too - is this possible?

If anyone uses this stuff it would be nice to have some feedback on how well it works in different situations...

Dragon naturally speaking seems to be a good brand - but many different options of package - any help appreciated.

Also recommendations of a good place to purchase the package as they seem reasonably expensive

Probably better off getting a digital recorder for the interviews and sending a copy of the files off to a company that will transcribe them. Voice recognition is notoriously bad without training.
