Norton - Anti-Spam feature disappeared?
I have a legit version of Norton (2006) and responded to a product update that Symantec sent through. However the update seems to have wiped out the useful anti-spam filter when I open up Outlook. The icon has gone and spam mails just come into my main in-box and not into the anti-spam folder as they did. I have looked everywhere to see if there is an on/off option but can't find anything. Any advice please without the "that'll teach you to use Norton" comments

I have done some research and found that amazingly the anti-spam in Norton 2007 is an extra download - though they dont tell you that.
Go here:-
Norton Add-On Pack for Norton Internet Security
and download the file and follow the instructions and all should be well.

Since my post above I have downloaded the file you provided and all is well.
So my thanks again. I have no idea why the facility was wiped and they certainly gave no indication that there was more to download
The words "e-mail" or "spam" are not even keywords on their Help stuff.
Fun innit d

Since undertaking the above I find that when snooping around SN every time I go to another forum my connection goes down and I have to use "Refresh" to get the page back up. Bloody nuisance and I am guessing this is Norton sticky it's oar in somehow. Any ideas? May be there is something I could turn off to stop this happening? dl
Oh - and another thing! When I right click the Norton icon at bottom of screen I don't seem to be able to see an option to "Disable" which I am sure was there before?

David, isn't the point in having legit software, the fact that you can contact their support team and get help???
Not saying that S/N isnt a great resource for information, but i have often seen people completley **** things up from taking non-qualified advice.
i'm not having a dig, but often, the simplest solution is sometimes overlooked.
(like the time my mate broke down, rang me up, i went all the way down there to help him, and he suddenly remembered he belonged to the AA)

Dazza - yep I hear what you are saying and have been in touch by e-mail with Symantec who have got back to me. But it is a 24 hour service and, like many IT help people, they make the assumption that I am some computer geek who will understand complicated computer speak. But I don't! I try and make my problem as clear as I can and seek a straightforward answer. I asked them if I could simply uninstall the whole thing and could they provide some links to reinstall but all I got was a whole page of this and that which made no sense to me. In fact I have found much advice from SN to be useful provided I steer clear of girlfriend problems and cats
