As i have just connected to xbox live i have been looking through the marketplace. I see that you can download demo's of each game. I was going to download one tonight but took ages so i cancelled it. Anyway, are the demos any good and do you get to play quite a bit ( fifa 07 ). Thanks

no idea on fifa, but if i fancy buying a game i will always try the demo first, if available

Thats the whole point of demos, to determine yourself if the game is any good or bad

just downloaded fifa 07 and you only get half a game, tiger woods 07 you get to play 4 holes which isnt too bad. Any idea how many game demos the console can take?

You have a 20GB Hard disk - 13GB of which is useable. Each demo is, on average, say 800MB. You need, 100MB or so for saved games, maybe more if you have replays etc.


I would say around 15 demos - Give or take.

What good demos are there to download then? (good meaning you get to play quite a bit of the game) Might download PES6 but dont want to if it only lets you play half a game.

I *think* PES6 lets you play a half of football.

I can't remember exactly.

To be honest, there aren't gong to be any demos on live that let you play anything other than a small snippet of the game.

Having said that, there was a cheat for the Saints Row demo that let you sneak outside the boundaries of the demo. Didn'y really make much difference but it did extend the life a bit.

impressed by tiger woods 2007 so far. Better than it was on the PS2. fifa is just the same as all the other years tbh. i'll just look through the list again and see if anything catches my eye. I know they wont be long demos but fifa is just too short to see if you like it.

It depends what sort of games you like but I thought the Shadowrun, Dead Rising and Crackdown demos were all good.

Couldn't agree more, I downloaded that the other day and I thought it was awful. I couldn't find anything about it that was good.
