Default Small Adsl providers

With BT promising that the new exchange is now open, and therefore a telephone line only a matter of days away, I can finally look forward to getting off 3G access and onto ADSl

I've been looking at some of the smaller ADSL providers, as they seem to promise more reliability, better customer service etc. Of course this comes at a price so does anyone have experience of the following providers?

ADSL24 - Broadband ADSL, Bonded ADSL and Office services at fantastic prices
http://www.fireflyuk.net/
UK ADSL Broadband Internet Access with NO download limits from just £16.99 from Web Tapestry
IDNet | Broadband | Broadband Pricing
ADSL : Services : Black Cat Networks

Zen is my preferred choice at the mo, heard lots of good things about them. One question I have is whether anyone other than BT can provide 24mb ADSL2+ in a non unbundled exchange?

I think we only offer those kind of speeds via radio, they do tend to be corporate/council etc as they are largely uncontended

We recently put a 100Mb radio link in from the Great Orme in Llandudno to Billinge Hill

We have also linked every single council building/offices schools etc for whole of Anglesy as we own quite a few masts

Radio is actually cheaper is most instances than leased line

That can't be cheap though. While I have been waiting for a line I investigated local wireless provider but that was 1mb for £30 pm.

No it isnt, I believe the radios are about 10k a piece, but then once they are paid for, its just the license then

no monthly subs etc, hence it being cheaper than leased lines

for eg

Customer has 7 sites, and wanted 2mb business (20-1 contention ratio) for 6 of the sites, and 2 Mb SDSL uncontended for the main site

It was cheaper to give them 4mb uncontended radio for all sites

Have a look at EntaChoice. There are a lot of Enta resellers about (ADSL24 is just one). Whilst customer service is probably going to be better, a large chunk of the reliabilty is down to Enta.

Enta don't sell direct to end-users BTW.
