I've destroyed my 3a ... not impressed at all
However I need to know what I would of payed for it back in 1995, I have all the boxes both for the 3a and the 2mb flash card but I've lost the invoice from back then ( thought it was in the box )
I'm guessing at £400 ? anyone got a clue, Psion havn't replied to an e-mail ..
Thanks in advance

Kev,
The 3a came with 2MB of memory as standard, and back in '95 a 2MB (add-on) Flash SSD was GBP199.95, however a RAM SSD was GBP249.99 for a measly 1MB (the biggest available)!!!!
I have a Palm M505 now (via a Psion Series 5 and a PalmV) and as a simple PDA it is great. Much neater synchronisation n'all.
Don't ask me how i know all of this info
Cheers,
mb

Martin,
I've got ( had ! ) the 512k version, but a week of downloading utilities soon filled it up so I had to get the 2mb Flash
So how does the Palm 505 compare with a Psion of any type .. better of worse ? I'm toying of a Series5 or the Palm to replace it, I've had a look around and there is loads of software about for the palm ... so it looks as though it will replace my 3a no problem .. size also has it of course !
Let me know
Kev

Kev,
sadly Psion are pulling out of the PDA market, so although their stuff is now a bit cheaper, you are just delaying an inevitable migration.
FWIW, i found the Series5 too big, and the display was crap (e.g. poor contrast, blurred, bad light reflections).
The Palm M505 has dropped in price by over GBP100, and is a good deal (especially for colour). Palm did an offer of a free 16MB memory card a month or so ago, but i think that has finished.
Now if only i could find an IR driver for my Nokia 6210
