Help Setting up PS3 Please :)
Hi all ,
I have a PS3 connected via HDMI to a 42" Panasonic Viera.
Just wondering if there is any way of playing the blu ray dvds or even standard dvds on the screen without those bloody thick black bands top and bottom
If i change the TV screen setting to zoom i get full screen with no black bands but then i am either missing peoples heads or they are all tall and thin
Any ideas?
Mart

If the film was shot in 2.35.1 you will always get the black bands . Films shot in 1.85.1 ratio will fill the screen . Look on the back of the DVD case for the ratio.
If the black bands bother you that much watch the film in darkness and they disappear !
