reformatting a maxtor drive
hi peep's
any-body know how to reformat a maxtor
drive back*model 6l080p0* to pure windows format and thats all
its holding windows xp home edtion,
i really dont mind if i reform it back to empty
as i have xp disc, cant over install the org: one
as the disc's copy is older then the maxtor copy

is the hdd a slave?
If so u can format it thru my computer if not u need to go into your bios and set to boot from cd as 1st then hdd as 2nd, then use the XP pro disc to format the drive.

Maxtor have a utillity which you can download for free which will help you do this.
