Default 360 freezing ?

The 360 keeps freezing, no red circle so can I still send it back ?

If so how do I send it back ? and how do I back up my saved games?

Mine had that. Leave it long enough and the rings will appear. Tell MS that you are suffering freezing and rings.

Job done.

Have lost all faith in mine and no longer purchase games after the rows I have had with Mshaft.

Pimmo, is that when playing Forza 2 perchance?
Mine began freezing 3-4 weeks ago, cumilating in the RINGS OF DEATH
However, after a reset it's been going ok (for short Forza 2 races anyway).
Bare in mind, that if yours is over a year old you have to have the RINGS OF DEATH before MS will fix it for free.

ms seem to be very quiet about what they do when they fix them, do they put new heatsinks on them? im very surprised noone has opened their box to see what theyve done...
I took mine back to the shop and got a new one, though i suspect itll happen again in another 6months. Im guessing i should have sent it to ms even though it didnt have the red ring as theyd have fixed it for free as its less than a year.

Yes, they're fitting new additional heatsinks now, you don't need to open it up to tell either . . .

Feeling cool? How to tell if your repaired Xbox 360 has the new additional heatsink

No a critisicm of you at all Dunk, but sites like this so make me laugh.

What, exactly, are you going to do if you find you don't have the additional heatsink, hmm?

Personally, I'll be shouting at the unlucky support person I get on the phone if mine doesn't have it when it returns from its extended holiday in Prague

(20 working days gone so far )

Mate, you'll just be glad to have it back, you won't care if it has Strawberry jelly for a heatsink .

I haven't looked to see if mine had it done, what I don't know won't hurt me .

In other news, now that I have my spangly new 1080p screen to replace my aging 480p plasma, it is like having a collection of entirely new games, I keep spotting detail that I had never seen before.

I am really tempted to pick this up - i just can't justify buying the same game again. I resisted the temptation to pick it up on PS with the extra stuff, now I have to resist the extra stuff and wii-mificaction and all the head shot delight that brings

I had it on the GC too, but didn't get far enough into it before selling the console. Tried it on the PS2 but didn't like the controls. The Wii version is superb once you get used to it Think I'm on about 3-3 so far, just done the maze.
