Question How fast is your broadband,check here

Well my old ntl went to virgin and its pants,up to 8 meg my ****,never seen above 1880 kbps and most evenings its about 100 kbps,just checked it and its at 111 kbps,utter sh1te,got till 25th to cancel,what are other peoples speeds like and who with,please check and post.

I have no issues with NTL

couldnt tell you evertime i open the page it wipes out my browser session....


prehaps its AOL trying to hide the crap speed they gave me after f*cking up my order

I am with bt 8meg and it varies from around 4000kbps to 7000kbps depending on what day

Thanks for that link,looks like they are pants then.

Cheers for those results posted,sky looks good,my mate 1/2 mile away is on tiscali and checked it last week when mine was bad and he was running at 5000 kbps.

On a BT line,forgot to add.

Took me ages to get back to this page,doin my head in.

Is that sky BB down a bt line as just been to have a look and see this mentioned or is it through sattalite.

The Sky is through a BT line and used to be 22meg! When Sky took over the speed was capped. I live about half a mile from the exchange.

bt only run 8 meg lines not 22meg you would have to camp in exchange to get that

i shud be on 20 mb but hardly see anything above 1mb. ntl
i had someone come round look at it.
its a problem ntl side not my end.
hope they fix it soon

No, I mean a BT line from my house to the BT exchange where it connects to Sky equipment which is very capable of delivering 22meg downloads, it's called Local Loop Unbundling or LLU.

You can dig out some old posts on here where my speed was published.

That's shocking, upstream is generally much slower. I'd get your ISP out to take a look if it is consistently that bad.

People aren't stealing your connection over wireless are they?
