pain in the backside! everytime the map changes i have to wait 15 mins for it to download (only DL at 5K??) so using my loaf i went over to CS map server and searched for village - about 8 different village maps appeared! all with slightly differing name so i gave up

any chance of the servers maps being hosted on some kind peeps FTP?

either that or i have to play with the plebs and their aimbots

2 people have been on and playing CS after posting in this thread but neither of u had icq / msn turned on

trying to sort a session tonite and u think people are offline and then u find them on a bloody server !!

As it's back to work day tomorrow I thought I'd call it a night a little earlier than usual.

To be honest those custom maps are getting a little tedious now. They're fine for about 5 mins then it just gets boring. Can we have them off of the map rotation but if Steve or Mike are there to admin they could still load them if people wanted a change?

i have just spent 10 mins DL celtic - only for the map rotation to change to predator! - starts DL that. i quit, sorry hhxx, scoobs and ptmw - would have said goodbye - but it would have taken another 15 mins to DL predator!

all you have to do is go and download them b4 u attempt to join ?

i posted a list not long ago as to which maps and where to get them ??

The custom maps I'm refering to are the silly ones like rats2 and monopoly etc. Village is ok, as is Celtic. I've yet to have a decent game on Predator cause there is never many people playing it (probably cause they haven't got it on their h/d).

Typing this just before I leave for work as I've been baned from using the internet there now (even so far as they've moved my desk so they can see my screen ).

Should be online this evening though

Mike, Can we get the map rotation moved around a bit so the custom maps are not next to each other. This should help people without the custom maps having to download one map, then the next etc.

May be worth mixing the CS and DE maps at the same time.

Woohoo, it's lunchtime and the bosses are out for their lunch "hour"

The reason I am baned from using the net is that they went trawling through the depths of the PC and found a cookie to a web site that somebody looked at 3 months ago on my PC that had sex in the title. I'm pretty sure I never looked at it but as I'm the only one that really uses this machine they decided I was to blame and gave me a severe warning. A month later when I had no work to do I was on Scoobynet asking about configuring Exchange Server (for work) one of the bosses walked past saw me on here during work hours and a ban shortly followed

Now xmas is out of the way I'm making a concerted effort to find other employment. Trouble is I'm not sure what I want to do as I'm fed up with being an Architectural Technician [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

We only run a simple network here. Not everyone has a PC so all of them have to remain usable to everyone.

I've even caught one of the bosses at my desk (before the move round and 2 lots of b*ll*cking) checking to see what I had running in the background whilst I was in the lav .

As for a job, isn't everyone after a cushy one? I like working with PC's and I can generally diagnose any hardware fault, and I know my way round Win9x/ME. I even know a little about w2k workstation & server.

Nic is still where I put her. Not had time to take her round my mates for them to try. Will probably do that at the weekend when it's less of a rush
