Is it just me or does that video have some well over blown highlights?

games not due to til well in 2008, so I'm guessing they're showing you the level of detail to expect from the graphics.

I was quite impressed with the environments in Call Of Duty 4 as well. This looks like the game they've been working on since Call Of Duty 2 (don't think the main dev team were responsible for COD3)

Correct. Infinity ward temporarily handed over to Treyarch for CoD3 (and it showed), and are back for CoD4

Pete, one of my favourite games on PS2 was B.LA.C.K.

Don't suppose you know what this dev team are working on now ? I know Criterion got bought by EA, but I've lost track of what they're next game is ?

As far as I know, it was the same team responsible for Burnout- I.e Alex Ward et al. So I would imagine they have all been busy on Paradise.

Whether there will be a Black2 using the modifed Renderware engine used for Paradise i dont know - Wouldn't be surprised though.

RE4 felt like that, but it was an evolution the franchise needed.

Absolutely. Another "traditional" resi would have just about finished the series off. Kudos to Capcom for recognising the need for change - Although it would have been oh so different if Hideki Kamiya hadn't decided to bin the "original" Resi 4 and turn it into Devil May Cry.

*SPOILER WARNING - don't read if still playing the game*

There's not many games that blow me away these days, but I was amazed how good RE4 was, especially when it was originally released last year on Gamecube. The atmosphere it evoked was amazing. And the ammount of content was great. Couldn't believe when I finished the village, then it was the castle, then from the castle they took you to the island and so on.... Can't wait for RE5 - hopefully I'll have bought an XBox360 or PS3 (or both) by the time its released!
