DVD-RAM UDF 2.0 capability in Vista 64 question
Yay or nay?
This is an important question, as its used for our backup systems and we use UDF 2.0 formatted DVD-RAM discs....using FAT formatting is not acceptable. And I've seen conflicting inpormation saying it will or will not work with UDF.
I'm currently intending to roll out an upgrade onthe works systems to Vista 64 (currently on XP x64 using hacked Panasonic UDF drivers), and I need to make sure that we can continue to be able to write and format UDF discs, specifically UDF 2.0.
Information thus far says UDF capability is built into vista. But other sources says no.
Technet mention "Live File System" with various versions. What TF is that? I presume its UDF, but can't find information from the horses mouth to say that it is.
Obviously I need a definite answer to this, as reformatting to FAT or a format other than UDF 2.0 which is supplied on preformatted discs (taking 30mins per disc) is just not an option.

I forgot my new laptop has a DVD-RAM capeable drive (presumably not a Panasonic drive) and has vista.
Popped in a disc, tried it out, works fine...sorted
