Question Reducing a .pdf file size?

I sell a product and have recently had some promotional double sided full colour postcards printed for mail shots. I also have the cards as two .pdf files so I can send by e-mail.

The trouble is that they are around 10 MB and these are a bit large to e-mail and indeed some ISPs seem to knock back the message as "file is too large". One side of the card/s is a photo and I think this is fairly high quality resolution which makes for a large file size.

So how can I reduce the file size? I have no pdf software (just Adobe freeware). I would guess the quality would still be good even if the file was much smaller? I can pm a sample if this would help thanks d

David,

do you know how to use winzip, as in compress of zip the files for emailing.
I mean, our servers can handle a 10mb attachment no problem, i just wasnt sure if your email servers or isp can do that. The alternative is to use ftp, but that is a road of hell

so if you can compress/zip the files smaller and email them over, I shall get on the case. email addy is in my profile.
