Thumbs up Resident Evil 4 : Wii Edition

Got it today!

Previously I've only played RE:2 on the PS and Code : Veronica X on the PS2, which I can't seem to find The opening animation pretty much confirms that the Wii is capable of games with good graphics, looks every bit as good as something I've seen on the PS2, I can't really comment on the PS3 and XBox360 but I'm sure most Sony/Microsoft buffs would agree it looks good!

Controls are perfect for this game too, move around and run with the nunchuck and aim and fire with the wiimote, its almost like this game was designed for the Wii!

Its 9 years since I first played a RE game and I still jumped at the first encounter with a nasty LOL.

Only one issue so far, I can't seem to reload my guns

Excellent isn't it Hold the B button and shake the Wiimote to reload, is it not working ?

I'm still getting to grips with the controls but it makes it much more fun.

Check out the Umbrella Chronicles trailer in the bonus section too

£22.99 here: UK Online DVD Shop and Video Games Consoles Superstore - ShopTo.Net

Just under £25 in Asda IIRC, if you want to collect a copy. Remember the postal strike !

I'll be buying it when I've finished Zelda Twighlight Princess, that is of course when I can get off Forza.

I've just got to the village, sneaked up on the villagers, killed about 5 of them then ran out of bullets and they hacked me up!

Thumbs up

Started yesterday morning and am now already over 6 hours in the game. Getting 'chain-sawed' looks awesome. Great gameplay!

LOVING this game!!

Same - got to the village. Ran out of bullets and got a pitchfork in the chest!! Liking the reload function by shaking the controller.

Quite reminiscent of the House of the Dead (that Zombie arcade game).....

Oh well, I've just lost the next 2 months of my life!! This and Forza2.....

Then I've got STALKER to have a go at, then Halo 3.......

May as well sign the divorce papers now!!

I'm at the second save point of level 1-2 now. At the zombie fort, I've attempted this 3 times now, twice going left and once going right and I still end up getting killed.

And shaking the wiimote still doesn't re load for me!

Trigger and shake to reload

Head for the second (or is it the third) house on the left at the village, don't try to kill them all

Killed them all and collected everything!

I didn't go down in to the water or down the well, but got in to the house, collected more money and had an encounter with "Big Cheese" again!

1-3 now.

There's a single moment I'll always treasure from RE:4

I was coming back from the church when the villagers surrounded me near the graveyard. I was running low on ammo and thought I could pick off the final few of them, then way off in the distance, for the very first time I heard this weird but vaguely familiar noise, which got progressively louder. It then dawned on me the villagers were starting up a bloody chain-saw and coming after me with it. I nearly **** my pants!

I started the next level and straight away there was a zombie and one with a chainsaw, I killed the first one no bother. The chainsaw guy wouldn't die though and kept getting back up! I ran out of ammo and reverted to the knife! A woman then came out of a shed and more appeared. Chainsaw guy ran up to me and chopped my head off!

On normal (easy is for girls ) difficulty its pretty much impossible to kill them all straight away as you're too limited on bullets. You need to enter the house then you can kill them and pick everything up.

Killed the leatherface guy, I used a grenade then ran back in to the house then finished him off. Killed a few more zombies then went in the church, well the church like building that led down some stairs. Got to the grave yard and killed a few more and shot the blue medals. I walked over the plank bridges then had to go out!

Luckily I saved at the first church building so won't take long to get back there!

Havn't played for a bit, up to level 2-2 now.

Got the green jewel from the church statue, got in the boat and killed the giant fish. Then did battle with El Gigante, took a few attempts at first.

Tonight I killed the dogs outside the church, resuced Ashley and killed all the zombies in the graveyard by pushing the trailer with the barrels at them.

Went back to the village, 2 exits have been blocked and we both got killed

IIRC, yes. There was that gate where you needed 2 people to get past.
