Question iTunes hogging resources

Hi,

When I rip a CD in iTunes, it hogs most of my CPU power, making even simple tasks like browsing the web very tedious.

Is there any way to reduce the maximum CPU % which iTunes can use?
Thanks in advance!

PS My PC is not infected with spyware, viruses, or any other malware and I'm running an Athlon64 3200+.
