Default AVI to DVD

What do I need to do? None of my DVD players will play Avi files so I need to convert it somehow.

As above, ConvertXtoDVD is the best I've used. Unbloated, fast, reliable and good compression.

I bought that and CopyToDVD from VSO, superb software. Used to use Nero, but thats now bloated, unreliable rubbish.

I use avi2dvd to do all my converting, its free, easy to use and gives great results! Avi2Dvd (Official page) The Freeware avi to dvd converter tool

use Nero or NeroVision.

easy to use.
no messing about.
works well 99% of the time.

VSO myself, always had good results from it, and done at a reasonable speed too

YOu could also go out and buy a cheap DVD player, that will play Divx too

yep vso divxtodvd takes about an hour to convert with a decent spec pc puts chapters in every 15 min and burn with nero burning rom

I just use the burning facility within Windows Media Centre, works a treat and no need to download/install 3rd party software....

I burn using VSO so all I have to do is load up the source file and click convert, couple of hours later one DVD burnt ready to play

I have a similar question...

Is there any freeware software I can use to convert AVI to MPEG? Have about 9gb of avi files recorded from GTL I need to compress.
