What do I need to do? None of my DVD players will play Avi files so I need to convert it somehow.

As above, ConvertXtoDVD is the best I've used. Unbloated, fast, reliable and good compression.
I bought that and CopyToDVD from VSO, superb software. Used to use Nero, but thats now bloated, unreliable rubbish.

It's not something I've used myself, just picked from the web at random, and probably totally wrong.

I just use the burning facility within Windows Media Centre, works a treat and no need to download/install 3rd party software....

Is there any freeware software I can use to convert AVI to MPEG? Have about 9gb of avi files recorded from GTL I need to compress.
Cheers
