Mines been going about an hour and has only done 60%. I think the MS servers might be being hit pretty hard. Hate to think what it'll be like when America wakes up

To me its just to simulated, more of and arcade game than a true racing game.

Strange, I thought the opposite.

I've never seen an arcade game with so much telemetry information available. You can't customize cars in the demo, but everything from brake bias, camber, torque curse etc will be changable in the full game.

Only had a quick go so far, but I'm liking what I've seen so far

Lots of comments on the forums about jaggies and 1st gen damage, one can only assume it's a rushed demo.

I'll however reserve judgement until I've played it myself..

I don't understand why they'd risk releasing a duff demo.
Although to be fair, the Test Drive demo was rubbish, the actual game was much much better!

Well, I'm playing it on a 42" plasma, and I've not noticed anything dodgy with the graphics yet.

The damage does seem a bit simplistic, but apparently you only get full damage when playing in full "sim" mode so it's difficult to judge from the demo.

Jaggies were the first thing I noticed , at over 100" you can see them on the cars a lot.

Otherwise the game feels great and the wheel works really well with it. Good demo , just hope they sort the jaggies out

I'd say they've turned down the graphics a little to ensure hitting a guaranteed 60fps in the demo. I thought it played great, looking forward to trying the wheel out with it later.

LOL not many people will be playing it in a cinema like you though!
100", the in-car view must be larger than real life!

Deja Vu.

The exact same thing happened with Forza. THe demo was utter pants, the handling was all over the place, cars were ****e.

Then the game turns up, and whadyaknow, it's the best thing in ages.

Anybody else having issues with the sound. Mixing seems a bit all over the place, plus some of the cars (MC12 for example) sound like mosquitos

i think its OK for an arcadey style game

the brakes seam a bit sharp with the abs turned off, i would expect them to lock up with the trigger right in, but they seam a bit keen in the road cars, sliding the M3 about is quite nice when you get it right

FWD cars are boring
Legacy does not like rally style flicks much

demo cars are far to easy to beat, unless i missed a difficulty option

I think it feels pretty realistic as far as console sims go. Turn all the aids off but leave the ABS on as its pretty much useless without it. It generally could probably do with a bit more grip as it seems to slide very easily, especially on turn in

Its a game i will be buying!

They definately have turned the AA off in the demo hope this is put back on in the full game. The jaggies are annoying now ive noticed them, easily noticed on my 37" LCD.

Seems okay though, havent cancelled my preorder, put it that way.

Man this game is soooo utter sh!te.

Graphics crap, gameplay boring and not very involving or realistic.

Also all the american cars are much better than the rest.

Going by the demo I wont waste my money on getting this game.

I thought the graphics were great, (still not noticed any particularly nasty jaggies) the racing seemed to have pretty good AI, and the handling is certainly a lot more realistic than any other console driving sim I've played, (including forza1, pgr series, GT3/4 etc).

Not sure how you can call it boring. It's a racing sim pure and simple. If you don't like racing then why even bother downloading the demo? From what I've been hearing, the online multiplayer is looking superb as well. Will have car clubs for racing against your mates etc. Think we may have to set up a scoobynet club

I'll certainly be getting the full game...

The Yank cars are not better then the rest (although do have a soft spot for the Saleen got a great engine noise when chasing it).
The demo is definately limited to what the full game will be like (as with most of the demos on Marketplace.

I love racing Sims. Just not THIS racing sim.

Having played it again its grown on me a little but the Gran Turismo series is still superior.

The graphics are disatrous, PGR3 graphics are much better than Forza 2 and that was a launch title, never mind GranTurismo HD making all games on the 360 look cheap other than gears of war!

Rubbish. The handling in the GT games is just plain wrong, and they make no attempt at accurate damage modelling, do not handle worn / overheating tires, the apponent AI is laughably bad etc. They are mildly entertaining arcade games, but that's about it. If you want a proper driving sim, you sould play the GTR games on the PC. Forza 2 is much closer to the sim side than the GT series ever has been.

What wrong with them then? They are higher resolution than PGR3, there is more detail displayed, the full game has a huge amount of car customization options (tuning on all 300+ cars, as well a body kits etc, and custom decals which apparently you can customize yourself with up to 4000 layers of paint on each car), and of course it runs faster than PGR3...

Ah, you mean that one track demo with old physics modeling, no damage, no werar&tear, no online play, inferior acoustics, no customization options, no rumble feedback etc...

Why don't you sell your 360 and get a PS3 instead if you hate it so much

Liked the demo but I think you need to turn all the aids off to appreciate it a bit more (except maybe ABS).

Loved the Sagaris, thats huge fun for drifting, out of the final corner full throttle... yehaaa!

Is this the final version of the game? or just a preview build?

I think some of you guys expect far too much, every game is going to have it's flaws at the end of the day!
