All.

I'm currently with Wanadoo/Orange & fancy a change. Who do you use, how much is it & is it any good?

Cheers, TX.

A broadband or ADSL service varies greatly depending on your location geographically and your distance from the exchange. The wireless aspect is merely a function of the router that you use and has nothing to do with the ADSL service provider (although they will most likely supply you with a router and you can be pretty sure this will be cheap and nasty).

None of them can offer a speed greater than you would achieve with BT unless your exchange has been unbundled or you are in a cable area. Cheapest deals are often with phone packages included that mean you don't have to have a BT line.

I would just check out some of the comparison web sites, go for one that seems good value but check out forums for customer service issues that recur.

I'm confused, do you want to move away from Orange or just get a wireless connection ?

Don't you just love broadband suppliers that state they can give you "Wireless broadband"... my dad even read about Orange's service and said it didn't say anything about having a phone line (till you read the small print)

Wireless Broadband IMO is broadband that comes to your property through the air to a dish, via WiMax... I'm with a wireless provider, better than a DSL connection here... Vfast Internet

I think BT and the like should change the name from Wireless Broadband to ADSL Broadband with Wireless Networking!
