Vista - Disappearing DVD / CD drive
I've had a bit of an issue for the last couple of weeks with Vista having 'lost' the dvd drive.
I've loaded the deafults in the bios, and also flashed it to the latest version, then as a last rosort, replaced the drive.
Still nothing- no drive showing- hardware manager is showing as it being present but unable to start.
I've been reading up on a couple of the forums and have edited the upper and lower values on the appropriate registry key, but still nothing.
Any ideas?

Yep, the drive is fine, and just to make sure I put a brand new one in.
Ended up re-installing Vista and its back to normal for now, but there does seem to be a problem thats being reported through various tech forums.
Thanks for your help.
