Talk talk have nothing but terrible reviews, they are offering really good money to people in BBI support to move over to them... **** that
Why do people always say Virgin(NTL) the NTL network is the worst part of Virgin Media... ask people who used to be with Telewest (blueyonder) what their service was like !! Miles better than NTL !!

At first they took over the BT line I had then the exchange went through the LLU bit in january and that was the only time there were problems. But basically down to 2 things a) cr$p call centres (but BT were just as bad) and b) it is BT Openreach that do the actual work and there doesn't seem to be much contact between them and the rest of the world!!! In the end I popped down to the exchange myself and had a word with the engineers. All was fine and dandy after that.
I was hopping mad at the time as I was without BB for a couple of weeks - after being told 20 mins. Looking back it was just their project management incompetence that was the issue. BB has been dead reliable since then.
I'd recommend them but with the proviso, which I suppose holds for most 'computer' type issues, that I've been in IT for 'many' years so can sort out most problems myself.

I use orange at home.
Didn't look into it so was horrorified to see it was wanadoo rebranded - left wanadoo 2 years ago and they carried on taking payments for 6 months.
When the livebox arrived the installation CD was buggered and any botton pressed would show me the help file and nothing else.
However, once I got through to the indian call centre (by this time rage was setting in well) was shocked to find that the girl on the phone helped me set up the livebox quickly and without problem.
No service problems so far.
My boss has talk talk and has two seperate lines into his house personal/business. He has had to give up talk talk altogether and started with another provider on the other line. He is currently paying for 2 broadband connections with Talk Talk being unuseable.
Our work broadband carrier is eclipse. Started off very well but the email service is without question appaling.
Certainly wouldn't touch vigin/ntl or whatever they are.
Don't know about sky. Why not have a look on adslguide.org
