Does I-Tunes do this? I've got it but I've never tried it

You might like to have a look at ID3 renamer (ID3renamer.com)

Once you've downloaded it select the renaming tab and configure the options. This is an excellent tool for music library management, I'm yet to a task it can't handle!

Best of all it's free

Yes iTunes will do this for you, plus it's doing a pretty decent job of getting album art as well. Full screen album art view is also a winner.

Forget all these shareware'ish utilities, this is 07 not 97.

Thanks for the replies, guys.
I tried I-Tunes, but I it couldn't pick up the tags for some of the files. It shows the song name details in I-Tunes, but it doesn't change the actual mp3 filename itself. Which is what I wanted. So I tried the first ID3 renamer, and it works great.

Thanks

There's a tick box to tell iTunes to sort your mess out.
