Lightbulb New Graphics Card?

I'm tempted to upgrade the graphics card in my Dell Dimension 9150.Just wondered if anybody had any thoughts on what to get? (It's got a PCI-E slot)
I wanna spend less than £100 ideally as I don't really play PC games that much (But would like the option to) and don't need something that's 'cutting edge'.

I've seen this ATi X850XT for just short of £55 delivered but obviously it's an older card by todays standards but would this handle something like Stalker??
Also this at Ebuyer with the Google Checkout discount at £91 delivered seems good value.

Any thoughts or other card recommendations?

Thanks in advance

Nick

the x850xt will do just fine for the odd games, also maybe consider the nvidia geforce 7 series, I just got a brand new 7950 GTO superclocked for £139 but with your budget you can get the 7600gt which is a very good card for the money

Thanks guys
Will the 850xt handle something like Stalker or am I better shelling out more on something like the 7xxx Nvidia or the x1950?
Not really interested in the next gen DX10 cards...

An X800 GTO will handle stalker (I have one). There are a few on eBay that are cheap.

8600 GTS would be the card of choice around the £100 mark.

Poor reviews from what I have seen & the X1950Pro or 7900 GS would be a better choice.

An X1950 pro is only £99.84 with free delivery and £10 off if you pay using google checkout from ebuyer.

Sapphire X1950Pro 256MB 256bit GDDR3 Dual DVI TVO HDCP PCI-E

Or the X1800 series is £65

Thanks for that...
Anyone any thoughts on this one?

Full specs here (It's dx10 compatible too)

Would have preferred this one as it is is fanless but sadly out of stock

It has mediocre performance in dx9 games and it might be dx10 compatible but don't think for one minute that you will actually have the horsepower to play any dx10 games with that card.
The 8600 series is a duffer. Buy an X1950
