Default MS Remote desktop alternatives

I'm connecting to a client's win 2000 machine, which only supports 256 colours. This is a PITA for what I happen to be doing. Are there any other remote desktop systems I could use? I tried VNC a while back but it was slow and buggy

I use remote administrator (Radmin - Secure PC Remote Control Software and Remote Access Software - fast and reliable remote access from anywhere, remote computer support, remote desktop sharing, help desk and network management solution) all the time (for machine both in the UK office, and on our USA machines). Never had a problem and it's quick

Why not just up the colour depth in the remote desktop client settings?

As already mentioned, we use PC-Duo in the office to connect to any of our 450 PC's. Not only can you control the desktop, but you get file transfer and the ability to execute commands remotely.

This doesn't work with Windows 2000 - only 256 colours are supported over TS.

I tend to use Dameware

Default NetViewer

I understand that Netviewer is very good - have seen a demo and am about to use it on a two week free trial.

Netviewer - Desktop Sharing, Webconferencing, Remote Control
