Removing alerts from Backup Exec 9.1
We are using a HP server and Backup Exec 9.1 to create backups of staff files
the backups are running fine but the only problem is the daily backups won't run until we acknowledge that the backup was created successfully in the alerts.
I know that the logs should be checked...and we will check them... but we need to give the users the responsibility of changing over the tapes (politics issues) but don't want the users loggin in to the server
is there any way around this, TIA
edited to add How to configure Backup Exec to automatically respond to media alerts, including when a backup hangs at 99%, until the user responds to a tape eject prompt i think that is the answer

I have never set the tape to eject after job completion, as on the older tape drives the tape cant be ejected through the software so the backup hangs at 99%

I've never seen that Sonic, How old are the tape drives? I've been ejecting tapes for years using some 10 year old DLT drives. The BackupExec hang at 99% is very common.
