Which reputable company to build a top end PC?
I used to use a company called Kustom PC's to build my top end PC's. Unfortunately, they no longer offer that service.
Do you guys have any recommendations for this kind of service? I'm looking for quality over price, so workmanship, skill and knowledge in parts is paramount.
Thanks in advance.

Might be best to get a local or scoobynet PC guru to do it for you. That way you can spec all the parts - know what the parts cost and then agree a charge for the build and install. If you want quality over price than I would suggest that is the best way to go.
But - depends on how high end
"Ultima Extreme SLi 8800 GTX" Intel Core 2 Quadro QX6700 2.66GHz Quad Core SILENT DDR2 System - Vista Ultimate=
overclockers do build nice machines. I get most of my parts from there as I live close and then build it myself coz I enjoy it (sad muppet I am)
Dave.

I think every 'guru' is going to say the same thing - build it yourself.
I'm also just down the road from Overclockers and basically built mine from parts bought from there.
Oh, and the ulimate machine noted there? I've got that case, very nice

Ummm.... some of them
Got the X-Fi Fatal1ty Soundblaster and one of the 8800GTX's - but I run with 4Gb not 2, got the Samsung 18x DVD+\-R/RW DVD drive, and NO floppy drive (who the heck still builds with a floppy drive?), got a 700ish Gb of disk space to play with, but mainly the difference is mine runs on the AMD Nforce 4 platform not the Intel 680.

Thanks all (hey chris)
I just don't have the time to build a PC myself - additionally, I want the warranty and retail backup that comes from getting somebody else to build it. Also not interested in mates doing it either - I've had enough nightmares from such scenarios to stop me from ever doing it again.

i know that feeling blow dog, i have worked for dare i say it overclockers & other so called big IT support companys but i am setting up on my own as i have been doing IT support for about 4 years now & i think i am good at it ha-ha.
i have built a few very high spec & dear pc's but i can understand about cover & that as it is a lot of money to waste if some one can not do it right the first time a round.
so fingers crossed you will get sorted mate ;-).

Anyone trying to get RAID and SATA to work when installing Windows XP on an nForce motherboard - especially ones like the 680i chipset. At that stage of the process AFAIK Windows won't read anything except the floppy drive when you f6.
But yea - nice case: I've got one as well.

Not on the 680i chipset unless you like spending thirty minutes installing XP, only to find that the HDD won't boot because - guess what - there are no RAID or SATA drivers which work for that chipset on SP2, so none were installed. Or for several other recent chipsets for that matter. Most Intel systems can cope, most recent (last 12 months or so) AMD chipsets cannot.
