Default I've deleted the My Pictures folder by mistake.

Windows 2000 Professional. How do i recover it.(its not in recycle bin)

(dont have original disk but it is a genuine version)

start with google?

Free data Recovery Software Roundup! (All freeware data recovery tools.)

you havent deleted them, just the tags windows uses to recognise the file are gone

Forgot to say the folder was empty. Its just the actual folder i want,not any contents.

just make a shortcut of it, should be in documents and settings/~you/

It hasn't so far. The new one doesn't have the same image viewer properties though of the original.

In a strange twist of fate I have somehow just managed to set all my folders to filmstrip view

Isn't it annoying, when you go out of your way to offer half-baked/3 parts p1ssed advice to people, and they don't even have the decent common courtesy to let you know how they got on?

I've been snowed under at work for the last two days and havent had the time to go on Scoobynet so i apologise for not replying.
Yesterday it re-appeared when i booted up so its now okay. Thanks for the advice.
