Until this morning I had no problems accessing my GMail account & eBay account from any PC.

This morning, I get the error "username and password do not match" on both GMail and eBay. I can guarantee 100% I'm using the right ones.

I've tried clearing cache & cookies, tried different work PCs, all with no success.

I **CAN** access my 9-year-old son's GMail account from any PC at the office, including my own, so it's not a server / security / software issue.

My GMail is the registered email account for eBay, and I've just sold an item. Could the automated emails from eBay to GMail be the problem?

I've changed my PayPal password just in case ....

hmmm did you use the same password? could someone have found it out ?

I know with Hotmail sometimes reseting IE setting back to default help, if it IE7 advanced tab and reset and restore !

Other than that I'm stumped

No -- accounts have definitely been hijacked, a mate with GMail has seen "my" chat profile pop up on HIS GMail when I haven't got access so someone has got in & changed passwords.

The hijacker has guessed / cracked the password, it wasn't "password1234" either!

eBay are on the case, no response from GMail, have closed my Paypal acc so no immediate financial risk .......
