Graphics card problem.
Hi all'
I've recently bought and installed an nvidia g-force 7600gs card in my computer which appears to work fine untill i try and play a video on it using my media player. I t plays Youtube vids fine but wont play anything on my installed players it just goes into mega slow mode and virtually freezes up.
I've tried reverting back to an older media player but makes no difference, ive tried instaling the drivers from the nvidia site still no difference and when i installed the new messenger live for windows the card wouldnt run at all untill i uninstalled the drivers all together then it worked and played video on my media player(without the drivers installed).
thx in advance for any help
Andy

When you say media player, are you talking about windows media player? If so which version are you running? Or are you talking about a third party DVD player?
I had all sorts of problems with Intervideos Win DVD so if youre using that I might be able to help. Failing that try updating to Windows Media Player 11 if youre not already using it.
Im using an Nvidia 7800 GS (AGP) so it could well be a similar setup.
