Any way to get around Vista Log in passwords ?
Iv just baught a lap top from staples. Its HP pavillion.
It was last 1 they had & some 1 had previously purchased it but returned it the same day, so they nocked some money off it.
when they said some 1 else had previously puchased it i asked about what would happen with registering vista etc if some 1 had already done so.
I was told you dont get disks with it as HP do all that previosly & there is a recovery system built in. Which would allow me to restore the system to factory settings or burn the Disks.
Anyway now iv got home iv turned it on
& now its asking for a password to log on. Theres no recovery options during boot up. And as i cant get into windows i cant burn the disks.
so im stuck now unable to log on as i dont know the password.
Is there anyway around this ?
Or am i bestof taking it back.

There was no option to get into recovery. My previous comps have always been F8.
Anyway spoke to a m8 who works for pc world told me to try f11
which worked so i formatted n got it sorted.
But i foned them n they said bring it back, i wasnt happy as its quite a distance so cost abit in travvelling expenses. This was the last 1 so they said theyd upgrade me to a better 1.
Got it working now though not sure if its worth hastle
