Default 22" Monitor....

I'm looking to give my Son my 19" and move up to a 22"+

I've seen some Xerox & Belinea for £234 on eBuyer, but questions are;

1. Can anyone here suggest / sell a comparable or better new monitor for the price... £250 Max?

2. The unit it has to go into is 46 cm high (76 cm wide so plenty of room there). Will a 22" be taller than this with a stand? The specs say 40.4 cm, but this is probably the panel size, leaving 6 cm to play with.. seems a little tight to me...

HP LP2465, 24" Monitor (I am sitting in front of one) should fit in there, but I don't now the price in £ though. We will soon see only widescreen monitors from most of the manufacturers. Maybe your son can get student rebate (HP-Student store)? With Windows Vista, widescreen makes a lot of sense (sidebar). I am using mine for my photography hobby with Photoshop CS2 and am very happy with it (nothing I am missing). Good connectivity (2x USB, 2x DVI).

For a start you can get the Belinea for £210 Belinea 2225S1W 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black/Silver

but this is the one I would have:
Samsung SM-226BW 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Silver/Black

Oh, and OCUK sold out of 300 in two days

Sorry mate.. Flat Panel.

I'd assumed no one would be looking to get a CRT nowadays, but I guess there's going to be CAD or other specialist applications still preferring CRT...

Thanks guys... I'm assuming all these suggestions will have a max 46 cm height with the stand??

Swiss - The 24" is £550.. Nice.. But out of my range..

I'll take a look at these and I may have to give supplier a call to confirm heights..
