gpo on outlook and remove the option on the menu?

Doesnt restrict it, but would make it more difficult at a guess.

David is right,

Find the Custom ID for that field and disable it via Group Policy

Another that can be done to disable PST's is a registry tweak (this is from memory, I'll check tomorrow at work)

HKEY_LM_Software_Microsoft_Office_[version that you run]_Outlook. Create a dword called DisablePST and give it a block value.

Another good registry entry is:

HKEY_LM_SYSTEM_CurrentControlSet_Control_StorageDe vicePolicies

Create a DWORD called WriteProtect and give a value of 1.

This blocks anyone on that PC writing to remote disks such as storage keys

If you ever need to enable it again, just change the dword value.

i would use the gpo option if possible - then when the CE starts going mad because he can't import his old mails you can put it back quickly
