Default Ext. Hard Drives

I am after one.

Obviously the biggest i can get for the cheapest.

i only want to spend about £70 max

anyone know of any bargins?

Get an Icy Box and whatever HDD you can afford. Should get 250/300gb easy for that money.

Question Networked external hard drives???

What about network hard drives - can you just plug them in to your router and access them over the network? - what are the pros & cons? - dearer I guess?

Not really a bargain but when I was in my local Staples the other week they had a 320gb Lacie for £70 which I think was cheaper than some of the websites that were selling them.Good also because you can go in and pick one up if you're impatient like me!
Also, Maplins were doing a 400gb Seagate for £90 but more than your budget....

If yo can stretch a little this is a major bargain and quite probably a bit misprice.
1TB of storage for £116 !!
