Question SKY+ recorded programmes to PC???

Hi,

Is it possible to 'rip' recorded SKY+ programmes to a PC?

The only method I've found so far, is to connect the SKY+ and PC by (e.g.) S-VIDEO cable (assuming that your PC has a TV card with the encoding facility), but I presume the recording could only be done in real time with that method?

Is there a way to rip the files straight off the SKY+ box?

I'm assuming that software would be required to decode the files!

Thanks.
