I didn't say *much* better, I said better. They have cut corners - For example,. the memory is plain old PC-6400 (667Mhz DDR2) you could buy 1000Mhz RAM for less than dell want for 6400. You could throw in a Platinum Xi-fi soundbalster and a THX speaker system and still be less than dell charge.

well it does come with that special case with a cooling system 10gb more hd space, and xi fi card already, also it come with 2 year warrenty and a copy of xp, i think the warranty adds alot to it
but yep your right you can build it for cheaper, but if your getting lazy like me just order 1

The warranty is a complete waste of money - all the components you buy are covered for a year though manufactureres warranty anyway, and provided you build it properly, they are unlikely to fail - If anything goes it will be the HDD or the DVD drive - anything with moving parts. Solid state electronics rarely fails.
The case I specified, a coolermaster, is absolutely top of the line and far far superior to the dell case.
But you pays your money, you takes your choice.

youre not wrong, weve got an up speced one after plenty of bullsh1ting
our last over spec'd server that was way over requirements ended up as a FEAR server but it has been decommissioned after the installation of this one
