On Friday 12 Jan my daughter sent me an e-mail with attachment through her hotmail.co.uk address. It was reasonably important as she wanted comments on an essay.

It has just turned up in my in-box. Would have been quicker to post

My ISP (plusnet) seems to have been working OK recently so what could be the reason for the delay? BTW other messages from my gal having been arriving normally. david

I have now checked on my ISP site and I think they have had a problem.

"We have identified the cause of the problem which is believed to be the result of a third party blacklist that the mail platform queries being shutdown.

We will shortly be removing any reference to this blacklist from our mail configuration which will see the queues return to normal levels"

I haven't a clue what this means but might be useful for others using Plusnet.

My hotmail account has taken days to send emails and days to get them ?

I seem to be getting a lot of emails I am sending out, sent right back to me, not bounced or rejected just looks like I sent the email to myself.

Bring back the typewriter and fax machine!

if your email is supplied through plusnet i would say the problem is with you
