ok, so the word in office 2007 is a different format to word xp or 2003. is there a way in the registry or something to set word 2007 to save all documents to word xp/2003 format? basically, i want to use word 2007 but dont want to save it in word 2007 format.

on my version 2003, there's a tools>options...>[Save Tab] and you can set the default format
