how to stream video to 360 from XP?
apparantly the latest version of windows media player lets you stream wmv files to the 360, but after running through the setup options and customising my files i'm still getting the 'no video files found' error on the 360
Anyone offer any advice? Has anyone successfully streamed wmv video files from xp to 360? Got music and pictures working fine.

Hello
The 360 supports streaming from a Microsoft supported codec, which is not DivX unfortunately.
Tversity can do it (although it isn't very nice) as can Transcode 360 (which needs Windows Media Center (as opposed to XP) or Vista. Neither are particularly friendly.

i've used Videora to code the files from Xvid to WMV, and saved them in the MY Videos folder and shared this in Media Player sharing options, but still the 360 can't find this
Does Tversity do the same job as Videora?

There's nothing installed on my machine except WMP11 and it works ok for me.
Have you got a firewall blocking access to the machine, or perhaps Videora hasn't encoded them with the correct (microsoft) codec?
You could try the Microsoft encoder...
