Default TomTom problems.....

Well i treated myself to a tomtom one this morning, got it home, plugged it into the laptop to backup the SD card and update the system which all went fine.

I then decided to purchase the speed camera database for £20 a year, installed that then the unit died, thanks tomtom!

Anyway, Currys replaced my unit but what are the chances of getting my £20 back as ive returned the old unit and it wont let me update the new unit, it wants me to pay another £20.

I cant find a general customer service number for tomtom, only an email addy!

Can anyone help.

i subscribed to totalpda forum for £2 per month and downloaded their camera database and voices - supposed to be a lot better than the tomtom database which supposingly picks cameras on the opposite side of the road?

I'll re-subscribe every couple of months so it'll cost £12 a year

Tell them you dont want it refunded you want it transferred to the new device ! as the other has failed and been replaced !

Or you could follow Mart's advice and quote sale of goods act

Unhappy TOMTOM 710

Hi All
Happy Christmas and Newyear...
I have now got a TomTom I am useing the free month at the mo so not paying for the Plus Camera/Traffic.
TomTom sight say for camera and Traffic works out £25.48 package.
Now my question is The Traffic when do I start paying on my phone and when does it stop chargeing, I just don't want big phone bills but I like what the Traffic thing does.

Any advice or help with this question greatfully recieved
