Default help :(

Help! i have a linksys router and its gone mad wouldnt let my modem work to use the internet but once ive cut the router out and just plugged the modem in on its own it works fine when i plug my modem box into the router then into the back of the computer all the lights are on as they should be but it still wont let me connect to the internet on the computer or my laptop
anyone know what to do with it apart from throw it through the window? any help will be appreciated

Assume youve rebooted the router? If so have you checked the connection status & logs on your routers admin page (normally 192.68.0.1 by default)?

That should be 192.168.0.1... Simon missed a "1" out.

yeah i reset the router but still not working and on the status page for the router it says everything is fine beats me

have you rebooted the modem since you changed it back ?
Some modem hold onto the mac address of the first device they use.

im back up and running now
asked my mate to come and look at it he unplugged it for 5 mins and bingo it came back on the stupid thing
