Downloaded GT4-HD for PS3

Downloaded GT4-HD for PS3
Since Sony decided to can GT4-HD, they then announced they would make GT4-HD Concept a FREE download on 24th December fro the PS3.
Just downloaded it and am starting to give it a bash.
TBH.... I can understand why they canned it. Whilst the graphics are better than GT4 (but not head and shoulders above it) the game is pretty much the same as (as expected really).
Lets hope GT5 is truly next gen.
PGR for the 360, blew my socks off more.

No extra bells & whistles then? I thought they were gonna be doing 22 cars & and an online mode.
An idea if the GT5 taster is gonna be a download?

Only 10 cars, 1 track and 2 modes (Time Trial and Drift). It has on-line mode, but only for purposes of ranking...... i'm ranked 3500 in my little Suzuki at the moment!

PGR3 and TD:U are too different to compare really. Both are really good at what they do. For me, as a single player game then TD:U wins it hands down.
Although it was a sad day yesterday, I completed all the races and all the time trials so only the courier and hitchhiker/model missions to go
I have tried both online and maybe I've been unlucky with PGR but most of the races the other racers thought it was a game of dodgems

TDU is great on the bikes, helmet view is insane at times.
Completed all platinum trophies on PGR3 on Christmas eve, just gotta finish the online stuff sometime next year now.
When is Forza2 out on the 360 ? Cant play Forza on my HD Cable, have to swap back to the original cable that is supplied, anoying is you just want a quick blast on one of the best driving sims out.

I liked the ambition that went into TDU - I bet there were a few giggles around the office when someone said "lets build Hawaii..."
pity the rest of the game wasnt up to snuff - online stinks, offline is full of bugs and too short - only 120 events and they're far too easy.
Best bit of TDU was being able to see exactly where you are towards each of the acheivements.
I sold TDU, but I still have PGR3 if that tells you anything.
...oh and the best racer on 360 is Burnout Revenge

PGR3 is ok, looks good but missing something, TDU is fantastic in the way you can go anywhere but as said, full of bugs, I keep going back to it, not to do the challenges just for a mad blast down open roads.
Forza 2 is the next one to look out for.
Sony have dropped the ball, to little to late for the console itself and the GT franchise by the looks of it.
