My CPU useage is going haywire .... help

For the peeps that know about FM2007 its a CPU hungary ******.

When playing my CPU useage is hitting 100% & thats with a small database.

Any ideas on how to tame this beast.

I have 2.8 Ghz processor & 2gig of ram.

disconnect from the internet, and disable any antivirus etc.
If you are on xp then set up a profile that is purely for gaming that has the minimimum amount of services running.
