Default Got A DigiCam - Got A Firewire Socket On My PC - What Else Do I Need?

Took some vid at week-end & getting a Firewire Lead so as I can link the DigiCam to my PC.

Obviously I need software but do I need a video capture card or anything?

What software?

Any free software out there?

All I want to do is get some of the vid onto a DVD & maybe some for upload to a website/youtube.

Ta!

No capture card needed. Just a firewire port on the PC. You *may* need to install drivers for the digicam, but not always.

And here's some freebies....

Digger!

**** me that was easy peasy

I clicked the link & the first thing it tells me is that XP has one installed. Once I got the right cable (different drama/story blah ), plugged in, fired up and it all worked

Really simple

Result is, first upload is Here!. Lap of Oulton Park last saturday...

Thanks m8
