Just discovered one of these that I bought a while back but never got out the box. Had completely forgot I had it before today.

Does anyone know whether this will work with a Skype account? If the answer is no then its going back before I break the seals.

No its on their own service run by someone called freshtel, soon all the high street multiples will have their own offerings and I think the long term plan is they will have 'peering' agreements that let everyone talk to everyone else, however skype doesnt even use the standard VoIP protocol (SIP) for carrying calls so its unlinkely to work with anything...ever!

So what I think you are saying is that in order to use Skype I need to use a Skype compatible phone? If yes does such a beast exist?

Sure I aked the same question on here a while ago and was shown a link to d/load the software drivers for using this phone on skype or whatever other service you want, to be honest never did get around to setting it all up but as I say try a search on here or I will see if I can find the site for you.
