Default Firewire webcam for mac

Since apple have stopped supplying isight cameras (and we all know why !! ), what does everyone recommend for a decent webcam for macs that do not have a built in sight camera. firewire I suppose or if USB2 is just as fast.
I know IOExperts do a driver solution for many cameras, just interested in what you guys think

cheers

Why did they stop supplying them? (any other reason than because they are inbuilt with most of their new products?)

I think a lot of the isights developed problems with them , hence apple pulling the supply of them. It is rumoured that they are working on a new version

New iSight - Google Search

the fact that all macbook, macbook pro and imacs now come with them, does add to the delay, but there are still tons of people out there with non isight macs that need one.

Mine is very imtermitent with Skype but ever had any issues with iChat.

Skype problem is most likely software not the iSight itself though...

Correct they did not meet the ROHS regulations as they contained some nasty substances.
