Lite-On SHW 1635s problem
OK my DVD RW drive has stoped playing DVDs properly.
When I put the DVD in to play the sound comes out intermittanly like the disk is skipping. The picture is fine. Imaging being on a bad phone line and only hearing the beginning of words with breaks of silence inbetween for a split second.
This happened before about a week after I bought it back in January and I brought it back to the shop. The Technician did a system restore and it worked fine again.
So 11 months on and it is doing it again.
Now, I dont want to have to keep doing rollbacks to sort this so has anyone got an ideas? Anybody have this DVD RW drive and experienced the same problem?
I have been onto the Lite-On website and downloaded the latest Fireware for the drive but it wont install saying it detects a Lite-On SHW 1635s YP40.
Whats the YP40 about when its not listed on the Lite-On website?
